This is such a no brainer that it took us decades to figure it out. We always thought that brown sugar was a less refined version of white sugar. Not so. Turns out, brown sugar is simply white sugar with a little molasses mixed back into it. Go ahead, check it out for yourself.
So now we take just a little of the molasses we have kicking around for baking and drizzle it onto a bowl of sugar. But be very careful it only takes a little. What’s in the picture is actually too much.
